At the ongoing Seattle "Occupy protests, both and elderly woman and a pregnant woman were pepper sprayed because they refused to obey a lawful order by police to disperse.
How on God's green earth did this atrocity happen? Why would the jack booted, rabid, blood thirsty Seattle police resort to such violence?
Protesters were throwing debris and rocks at police. Protesters were spraying officers with god knows what. Protesters were physically attacking police. Several officers suffered minor injuries.
But it's a peaceful protest right?
If you are in a crowd of protesters, you will be subjected to chemicals, noise, flying debris (my favorite kind of debris) and possible arrest. These people know this.
They have made a conscious choice to participate in the protest and put themselves (and their fetuses) in danger. If you get pepper sprayed it's YOUR fault.
When asked what she wanted. The elderly female stated "We need less police." Hmmm, good idea.
Now when Shitbag McCrackhead and his buddies are breaking into your home, and you call the police, and the reply is "Sorry ma'am, we don't have enough officers to help you right now. We'll send someone out in a couple hours" You're on your own.
